So, you'd like to get involved in Leadership? That's great!

It is always exciting to have new people involved in the ministry, and we would love to hear from you. To help us direct you to the most relevant information, which of the following statements best describes you?



I am 18+ years old and haven't been involved in a CYC camp before

We are thrilled that you’re interested in becoming involved in the ministry.  Many of our best Leaders in recent years have become involved in camps from exactly the same starting point as you.  We say this, because sometimes there is a myth out there that unless you’ve been coming to camp since you were a child yourself, that you’ll be out of place.  Quite the contrary - it is great to have new faces, different perspectives and fresh eyes on camps.

One of our most exciting developments over the past few years has been the structuring of our Leadership Weekends to really accommodate Leaders in your position.  We try where possible not to “throw Leaders in the deep end”, by introducing them to camp through actually Leading on a camp, but through one of our three Leadership Weekends.  These are a great opportunity to get to know other Leaders, learn a bit more about camp and what Leadership on camp involves.  We would also like to think that even if you never were to go on to be a Leader on a camp, that the Leadership Weekends are valuable in themselves for wherever you’re involved in ministry.
